These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Shop Local Treasure (shoplocaltreasures.com and related subdomains), operated by Monkey Barrels LLC. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms.
What Shop Local Treasure is
Shop Local Treasure is a discovery platform that connects local vendors (boutiques, antique malls, independent sellers) with nearby shoppers. We help shoppers find items and vendors near them; we are not a party to any sale between a shopper and a vendor, and we do not process payments. Any purchase happens directly with the vendor, on the vendor’s own terms.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account, whether by email/password or by signing in with Google or Facebook.
- You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or misuses the platform.
Vendor responsibilities
- Listings (photos, descriptions, prices, location) must be accurate and belong to you or your business.
- You’re solely responsible for the items you list, their availability, and any transaction with a shopper.
- You won’t list prohibited, stolen, counterfeit, or illegal items.
Shopper conduct
Use the platform to discover and visit local vendors in good faith. Don’t misuse contact information, scrape the site, or interfere with its normal operation.
Content and ownership
You retain ownership of the photos, descriptions, and other content you submit. By posting it, you grant us a license to display it on the platform for the purpose of operating the service (e.g. showing your listing to shoppers).
Disclaimers
The platform is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee that any listing is accurate, that an item will be available, or that a vendor will fulfill a transaction. We’re not responsible for disputes between shoppers and vendors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Shop Local Treasure is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the effective date above when we do.
